Braids make hair grow.
Personally I would answer no to this question. When we remove our additions, we often see a net regrowth. So we think it’s thanks to the braids! Certainly the protective hairstyles of this type allow our natural hair not to be handled for a while and to be protected. But it’s not the braids that grow the hair. Our hair grows naturally but it is often difficult to keep the length (damaged spikes that break), the braids will protect our hair against the different types of aggression on a daily basis and therefore retain the length from which the report. the braids break the hair?
I would say yes and no. The choice of the hairdresser is decisive on this question. Braids can break hair if they are too tight and / or too heavy. It can cause alopecia ( in dermatology, alopecia refers to the acceleration of hair loss ). BUT if they are well done they can be beneficial for our hair.
Do not we wash our hair when we wear braids?
NO. It must still not exaggerate! Regarding the Box Braids there is no difficulty washing his hair. And YES, we must continue to wash our hair to avoid disasters. By cons for all that is Vanilla, Locs etc, the hair routine must be a little different.
